![]() These presentation grade models have the Knights Cross with Oak Leaf fitted in the inside lid and the cross is serial numbered to match the P-08, as is the presentation case. The Knights Cross model is the WWII model of NAZI Germany dated from 1934 to 1942. That’s why they have two date-years marked on them. Mauser produced around 136,500 Lugers in 1940 with the majority being issued to the army. It has all matching numbers including its magazine - a rare find Correctly coded '42' with Waffenamt Eagle over 655 military acceptance stamps. The treaty severely restricted arms production in post-WWI Germany, but the manufacture, remanufacture of P-08’s was permitted. This is a superb condition 1940 dated Mauser, PO8 Luger. The Treaty of Versailles model is available in a small quantity. The P-08 Lugers of WWI are presented with the Blue Max medal mounted in the presentation case lid with the appropriate Blue Max neck ribbon. French-fitted with red velvet in an American walnut presentation case, engraved in the lid with the manufacturer’s name or code as appropriate, along with the P-08 serial number and year of manufacture. The few remaining quality Luger Pistols in the world are presented here in Presentation Grade form. The genius of Georg Luger will always be reflected in his famous pistol, adopted for military service in 1908, hence the name Pistole 1908 or P-08.
